Recently I asked almost 20,000 people in various Facebook transgender groups for their experience with the Church, good or bad as Christians who are transgender. We all have our lessons to learn and I’d like to share mine today. When I got up this morning, my day was set and I was ready. An awesome church service (because there has never been one that wasn’t) followed by a possible short lunch with my BFF here in Austin and then boom – the rest of the day I was going to spend working on my book. Sundays are my writing days and I was ready. 
Those of you who are not transgender I get it, you’re doing your best to get your head around it. What to say? How do you say it? Is it he, she, they, it? It can get REALLY complicated, but I’ll keep it short and simple here…
Renee, a precious friend saw a video in her Facebook feed today that stirred something in her heart. What she wrote following that was so raw and heartfelt I asked for permission to repost it here and she graciously agreed. It’s a reminder that though we may seek to be like Jesus, I think most of us can agree we have a long way to go yet.
